Hi. I'm Mary, a middle schooler. So pretty much I'm just a regular girl in middle school named Mary. Not exactly... If you read along, you just might find... well... my journal. And here it is:
Dear Diary,
School is hard. At my school, Meigs, they give us so much work. Especially this week. I've had to take both of my books (Social Studies and Math book) home with me! My backpack last year was super big, so my Mom got me a new one that wasn't so big. But I think that that big backpack would be a big help right now.
We just finished our Science Fair Project. I'm SO happy! My Mom and I worked on it for 3 months. Ugh... (e_e) Anyway, I got a first place ribbon! In the WHOLE fifth grade, only 3 people got first place ribbons, including me! My question was,"Does the color of light effect the food that is baking?" And surprisingly it did. But the food that I tested it on was an Easy-Bake Oven Cake. I am NEVER going to eat that kind of cake ever again. Bleh! I don't like eating something too much. Because that makes me feel sick.
WELL. And guess what?! There's ANOTHER fair coming up. In like, 2 weeks! It's the Social Studies fair. Now THAT is even worse than the Science Fair Project.
Well, Meigs is tough. I think that I might move schools. My Mom teaches at McMurray Middle School. She teaches 5th and 6th grade ELL (English Language Learners) students. She has a half-time job. If she gets a full time, then I could go there!
Meigs never give us students a break. If it's going to be even harder in 6th grade, then I'm SO NOT coming back. My Mom even agrees with me on this one, it takes our LIFE away. My Mom's friends even agree. My friends parents talk with my Mom and they, too, agree. I'm going to go eat breakfast.
